This learning journey introduces architectural practitioners to therapeutic horticulture and its growing role as a nature-based intervention in Singapore. Participants will explore how intentional planting, sensory engagement, and restorative landscape design contribute to occupant well-being across healthcare, social care, and education. Through a guided walkthrough of Terrapy SG’s greenhouse, Plant Therapy Studio, the session highlights how plant-rich environments can function as active components of the built environment, shaping health, safety, and emotional resilience.

The session visits the Nobo Farms prototype to explore how modular urban farming systems support sustainable and resilient neighbourhoods. Participants will see how compact, resource-efficient food production models address urban challenges through reduced water use, regenerative cycles, and versatile growing systems. The visit shows how shared infrastructure and cooperative models can strengthen community self-resilience and diversify access to fresh produce, while touching on architectural design principles for tropical environments. The session concludes with a hands-on activity where participants experience a sensory planting session.
